I have just bout a ring taxi ticket and will be hopefully booking a slot the weekend we are there when the dates come up.
I have room for one more passenger in the car, if anyone is interested let me know. I would however be asking for a third of the cost as they're not cheap, which is €65.
Cheers

They seem to consistently do sub 10mins laps. Have a look on youtube for the passenger videos.
As I haven't booked the date and time yet I have a choice of the 4th or 5th which is the sat or sun while we're there and a time. What would be best for when we're there with respect to other activities and events. I know it's likely to be busy cause of the bike event on while we're there.
EDIT: Have just seen sabine's lap on youtube is an 8:33 so I guess thats not bad!

Most expensive 10 minutes of your life probably, but its something you would never ever forget. and will probably give you brown stains haha.
Find out what time the main races for the biking event are on and book it then. the track will be empty of bikes atleast when theres a race going on.
As for the laps, I've been told you can ask for either a fun lap or a fast lap when you get in the car. I'd go for fun all day long.

I'd be so tempted to say fast lap just to see how fast it is and to see the faces on people as we pass them in there supercars! but a fun lap may be more stomach/bottom friendly.

With Sabine driving I have stood watching and timed her passing me every 11 - 13 minutes, in the pouring rain. That includes the time it takes her to get off the track, dump the passengers, get new passengers and fight her way back onto the track through the ridiculous car park. IN THE POURING RAIN. She's really fast, the other 2 aren't quite up to her level.
Went onto the site n tickets aren't available anymore.
They sell them in blocks to avoid having a 40 year waiting list and keep it fair (touts and ticket companies can't buy them all, I don't think there is a regular schedule of blocks becoming available just to keep people guessing). The blocks sell out in no time.
but a fun lap may be more stomach/bottom friendly.
You'll feel a fun lap a lot more than a fast lap. A fast lap will be so smooth, higher forces but for shorter times and corners smoothly blended into each other. If you want to feel something, you have to let them get the back out!

Well if the cheque doesn't arrive, lost, bounce, mislaid, torn in transit etc or Mr Shaw changes his mind then I'll be on standby to send the payment in a more noughties friendly manner
I know its a retro run but everything has'nt gotta be done retro, cheque!
