Hi guys, first post here :)

I've got a 1990 Cooper and changed the front hubs to taper bearings. In between the inner race and the inner driveshaft oil seal is a spacer. Conveniently I've lost one whilst rebuilding them, had a look on Mini Spares and the product is out of stock. Interestingly it says the spacer isn't required http://minispares.co...a...2878&title= (note mine isn't a Cooper S but does have the spacer in).

Should I bite the bullet and order one purely because it had one in originally, or is it safe to leave this out (and remove the one on the other side?). Presumably all you need to do is drive the oil seal deeper in and leave it at that?

Any advice appreciated. Cheers!

Use the one that you have, and either go and get a new one or leave it out plenty of people seem to do this "guess" fit the seals thing without any issues
