PTFE tape it in like you should any bolt you want to secure from leaks. Have you rung us to get you a replacement out?

just out of curiousity, how tight does the bolt have to be (the one supplied with the kit) i have mine in, its quite lose, when i tighten it, it goes further down the hole, and i dont want to lose it in the manifold?


As Gav said, you could put Teflon tape on it to hold the bolt in place and seal it. Alternatively you could use a non-hardening, thick gasket sealant to hold it in place and seal the threads. Frankly I'm surprised the plug is a straight screw. I would have used a plug with a sealing washer, similar to what you would use for parallel pipe.
