Hi all
I ahve just bought a brushed aliminium dashboard for my 92 spi and I tried fitting it last night. It goes on fine but my concern is the speedo and other two clocks don't want to sit flat inside the dash. Just wondering if there's a mod i need to do to make them fit?
Thanks mark

I think you can shave a bit of the plastic of the binacle so its sits flush, where did you buy your dash from? Does it have the seperate removable clock part that sits behind the steering wheel or is it a dash where it just has the holes for the clocks to sit behind?

yeh i was thinkin that but i still don't think it will sit flush. I bought it from huddersfield spares last week its all just one piece as far as i'm aware. have you got one similar?

the last mini I built I put a alloy dash in from there and I did'nt have a problem, but mine had a seperate 3 clock binacle that came off. I did have to trim a bit of plastic off and then it fitted no problem. I was thinking of buying one from there for my other mini, could you post a picture and I will see if I can help you further, it must be something or nothing.

sorry for the late reply guys! my dash has the 3 clock binacle that comes off seperately so i took that off then screwed the clocks to it with self tappeing wood screws. I had to trim bits off the surrounding plastic to make it fit but i got there in the end! got my dash in properly now and it looks pretty smart! thanks for the help:-)
