Once you get over about 10.3:1 you really need re-curved distributor if you ae to get the best out of an engine.
With over 11:1 a custom-built one an be necessary
. I know it was with my 'S' when it went to 11.2:1. The Aldon 'Red' was short on mehanical advance by about 4 degrees and Aldon re-curved one with the necessary additional available advance. With the 'Red' set to optimum advance at 6400 rpm, it would not turn over on the starter when warm.
With the custom one it was and still is fantastic.

im runing mega jolt so thats no problem

8.8CR is noting to worry about - but as said for performance 9.4 or 10 is better - it really depends what you have in mind for the engine will make a perfectly good road engine though and the head can be skimmed to raise CR - or in my case the block was decked. Straying off a little the lower compression pistons are generally not recommended for mega rpm - my 21251's are not advised for thrashing +6K but have never caused problems with the occasional spiritied drive..

I thinks I've an eyeball on the engine you're considering - fair warning, a nice coat of paint does not a reconned engine & box make - yep I'm a notorious cynic - but at least that way I have low expectations and stand to be pleasantly surprised - acid test on felabay - ask the seller whether you'd be able to take the head off to inspect before parting with your cash....
