It seems really quiet on the Zcars forum currently. Surely there are more people building a Zcars kit than just the 8 or so regular posters

How about all the lurkers that have just started a build or mid way through pipe up and say hello and let us know whats going on out there.

Come on - dont be shy.....

by the way, dont ask me what to chat about I havent got the foggiest, just though its about time for some decent banter on here. maybe stuff you've seen on other forums that might be interesting to us all, different mini projects, there is some good stuff on TMF, different car projects maybe - who knows just post something iteresting

very quiet, i noticed this about 6 weeks ago, not sure whats up with the fellow builders,

ive got the mini booked into a car show up here on sunday, so i hope the weather stays good. not going with a mini club but im going with the rear wheel drive club www.rwdclub.co.uk if you guys want a look, mostly mk1 escorts and mk2 escorts. my dad recently completed his mk1 mexico after 3 years restoring it, he is also going to the show.

I check on here every now and again but havent touched my project in a year. Been busy doing the house up including a loft conversion and a new baby.

Hopefully get back on it this summer. I really want to get it running this year as might help spur me on.

I'm waiting on my slave cluch cylinder. Then I can finish the cluch and see if she will drive better. That's the driving part. For ow I'm working on the body. Sanding and filling... Not much to share about that. But when it's finished your the first to hear about it!

Trying to free up some time and cash to continue working on the Monte - anyone want to buy my Pro-mo R1 car? I could use the extra room in the garage that it consumes....seriously, offers, Midwest USA?

Well done guys for stepping up, Ed where is the show at on the weekend? rwdclub, going to check that out later.

I am going to try and get mine ready for the Beauliea Cooper day as its one of the closest shows to me, only 45mins away. I have done this before when setting dates so it is only a vague date right now, although if I am honest if did properly extract the digit I could get it done in time.

Shyfd - How long has that masking tape been on the frame? you might want to look at getting it off as it will weld itself to it and be a right barsteward to get off....

I just got through some Jackson Racing stickers yesterday so now trying to find a place on the car for them.

Montebusa - good luck with the sale. What do the promo's drive like? I am lining up my second project and that looks an interesting way of doing things...

So other than Ed anyone got show plans or track plans for summer??

I guess I could start a thread, but seeing as most of my time is currently spent prepping the shell; not cutting and grinding for the kit, purely resto and a few custom mods :genius: I see no point; the pictures don’t show anything new just yet, but when things get moving and the pictures show something of interest I’ll get one going :)

Biggest thing with me is I get to involved and forget to take pictures until its too late, doh!

The show is the classic car show at the bridge of allan near stirling ( 10 mins from the house ) thats the closest show yet !! everything is down south and at least 4 hours drive, which is a pain in the asre

Ed, Yer that is a pain, its not as bad living on the south coast but it is a minimum 1.5-2 hour drive to any other track other than Goodwood which is 7 miles from home but is probably to most expensive track to do a track day on, although I might have an in through a mates old man to get shakedown time in the car park and possiby some free track time which would be frickin awesome if it comes off.

I do aim to get myself up to Scotland at some point (with the car in tow), I will give you a shout nearer the time, maybe aim to get to one of the rwdclub shows or meets.

No work on the car for me this weekend, in 30mins time I am off across to the West Country, Boscastle to be precise, for a weekend of relaxation, which mainly involves drinking and eating and drinking some more.

You'all have a good weekend.......... :)
