As I understand it, transmission loss is derived from a measurement done by the system when the clutch is depressed, so it does not include any braking effect from the engine. I don't believe there is a power loss of anything like 42.5bhp in the transmission unless there is a mega problem with it. However, if the brakes are binding ....

Okay! Cheers for the clarification on a few things. Like I said I don;t want to play a number chasing game, and yes it did improve on the cars performance noticeably, which is all I was really after. As somebody pointed out before, there aren't any real 'stages' of tuning a mini, but to give mine a bit more oomf now, would the next steps be cam and dif, as well as giving the gearbox an overall look at? Think a Miniworld subscription is in order to get a copy of Vizard :/ Cheers.
