Low and Slow:

I don't know why...... it's hard to explain...... but I love your car! :-

It looks ace with a roof rack on it too. I need one for mine, but don't know whether to get the guys at work to make me a new one, or whether to buy a new one.

I'm thinking of getting a stainless one made up, with wooden slats across it, the only problem is that it'll be heavy. I have looked for ideas on t'internet, but not really found any inspiration as yet.

thanks dude, the rack on my mini is an old 60's ford one. i just didn't like the way the works style racks sit so high off the roof.

You car is awesome, what wheels are they? What is it about minis with roof racks....they look soooo cool, and I know this sounds strange but they even better when they have the odd stuff on them like and old suitcase /jerrycan or even a run plaue riveted on!

the wheels are chrome 100 spoke lowrider wire wheels. they are not light weight in any way weighing in at 3 stone a corner :-

All this talks about stealing roof racks is wrong. I had a nice bespoke made roof rack, costing me a fair bob or 2. some one thought they deserved it more than me so stole it off the car from out the front of my house while i was sleeping. Cannot describe how gutted i was as i can't afford to get another the same made.

Another idea for feet although im sure if their the right size is caravan awning suckers/feet they look very similar to what your after.

I just calld a caravan place and they measured their suckers-all of them have a slightly too large hole (only about 2mm) could I 'fill' the gap with some black windscreen silicone sealant?

somebody must still make the proper feet though surely?
