If your asking about something other than the RMS Power then you are proving my original point. That RMS is as important as other stuffWhat was the fuse rating

Anyway, this is goin a bit off topic
If you want oodles of bass minilover123, I think the RE SX12 would right up your street...though you will need to budget for the amp to support it
A cheaper alternative would be the SE...it's rated at 600w RMS and has dual 4 ohm coils, which makes your life a bit easier with finding a 600w RMS @ 2ohm amp!

Thanks for the physics lesson P=IV and all that :tongue:You can't make watts without amps

Surely the fewer watts of power a sub uses to make the same quality of sound the better, as you would not want to put any strain on your poor mini's alternator.
So a high quality well made speaker, like JL Audio subs that do not have a high frequency RMS rating, but are priced the same as a equivolent sub like a Alpine for example, would have better sound quality (the thing we strive for) and use less power.
The JL would use the power it does recieve, to the best effect!
but the alpine would consume the power and waste it by providing a lower (but still good) quality of sound.
So a huge power consuming speaker doesnt necessary create lots of good quality sound.
I friend of mine has a VW golf and he changed from Alpine to JL, the alpine was awesome but the JL, it blew my mind, and i was like woah, its only like 300RMS and the Alpine was 1000RMS!
Nevertheless, the proof is indeed in the listening.
No length of technical fact sheet can compensate for the use of ur own ears

My Mini was fine with a 1200w RMS amp as I said earlier...just always have the engine on when playing loud!
I'm not about comparing Brand X with Brand Y and assuming certain things about them...RE are an example of a brand that make subs that DO take lots of abuse can CAN get very loud

agreed with you totally, had the same experience with a JL sub replacing a pioneer, the JL was only 125watts rms but blew ther pioneer away.
Its so true!
