LOL
reading all these has made me laugh, we just sold our Focus and bought a Mini (classic) and yes you would of thought we had bought it from the invisible man! I have never been cut up,tailgated or even pulled out on as much as i have done in the past 2 weeks of driving a Mini.
I think what it boils down to is that society has basically become selfish and everyone is out for themselves and what's in it for them and that's it!! you are just an inconvenience on the road getting in there way.
I see it everyday and in my job i see it more than most as peoples attitudes to being in the way or an inconvenience or being slightly different (i work with special needs teenagers) then its a case of your weird, your in my way and i don't care so move.
Going back to drivers, only this morning on the school run did a young guy in a 4x4 Audi pull out on me and made me swerve and then proceeded to tailgate me because i gave him a dodgy look (more like a "i have 4 kids in the car" look) and as i turned right he sped off through a red light nearly taking out a Fiat 500. Now i was worried and so were the kids and we were in the Mazda 7 seater "Tank" i cringe at the thought of being in the Mini and being whacked with the kids in it.
Although with 4 kids it would be a bit of a squeeze
Anyways rant over !
i do find drivers of large BMW the worst though!

i totally agree about bad drivers nowadays i had it last night with a focus that was tailgating me going over a flyover, and when we got of that onto a dual carriageway he undertakes and then cuts me up, and i was in my scenic. but its not only size as i also had it once in a 7.5 tonn lorry i was driving at 60mph on a dual carriageway and this woman pulled out while on the phone about 20 feet in front it was only the quick thinking of the bloke in the outside lane slamming his brakes on to allow me to swerve stopped me from killing her.
but i honestly believe that as mini drivers we are actually drivers as apposed to someone who just sits behind the wheel.

people seem to think that their car is invincible and everything will ounce off of it, due to the manufactures wording of the safety rating. its now became a habbit for me to be covering the brake and clutch as im going past a side road, i also move as far over as i can.
i had someone pull out infront of me on a roundabout, she looked straight at me, then pulled out, i locked the wheels up, could see her fella flapping his hands and shouting at me, then as i was driving down the road behind them he was still having a go at me, i got so peed off i flashed my lights, got him to pull up, he came flying out the car, shouting whats your problem, i replied " what the hell, why are you having a go at me, your wife was the one that pulled out infront of me! " he got back in the car with his head down, lol

This type of stuff happens to me when I would drive our US Spec Ford Ranger truck. People would get all high & mighty on me and pass me, tailgate, just generally act like morons! But when I would be driving our British Spec car (Micra) nobody would bother me that much.....I blended in I guess. When we first got here we had a 2004 Pontiac Vibe. We were driving to RAF Lakenheath when out of nowhere a guy on a crotch rocket is basically standing on our bumper screaming stuff at us with the visor of his fullface opened up! We were driving perfectly normal.....going the speed limit, not doing anything out of the norm. I looked at my wife and said "You know what? We still have our Georgia Plates on the car.....I'll bet that is why he is acting like a tard". We had been warned about this type of reaction to being Yanks when we took the driving test on base. It was our first taste of it.....our second was when a Brit smashed out the back window of our brand new Ranger with what appeared to be a hatchet. The ONLY US Spec vehicle on the block....in a British neighborhood literally FULL of British cars. Ours got targeted. Talk about LIVID, I was literally waiting by my front door off and on for the next week with a 14" Aluminum Paintball gun barrel for the twerp to come back and gloat. He was going to get whacked on the skull.......
The second time I had an issue in my Ranger was when I was at the intersection of the B1112/A1065. The goal is to get to the other side of the A1065 to get back on the B1112.....traffic here is never ending. They really need a light there. It's nothing to get stuck there for 20 minutes or longer on a slow day. One day I was there and this big work van/truck pulled up behind me. Traffic was full of those kind of drivers that aren't going slow nor are they going fast enough.....you just can't really get out there cause of their lackadaisical speed. It's as if they are in lala land thinking of Tea and Crumpets rather than driving......or maybe lately they have been thinking about the USA vs. England World Cup game? Lol! Anyhow, I was sitting there waiting for a decent gap in traffic so I could dart out there safely and get home! Roughly 10 minutes passed and finally this dork behind me honks his horn (as if I can do anything about the flow of traffic right?) and startles me.....as I react and look back I see he was SCREAMING directly at ME through his Window. It was direct confrontation. I reacted and pointed at him and shouted back at the top of my flippin' lungs.......I reminded myself of an VERY angry Yosemite Sam.
Anymore I just don't care. I drive safely but if someone drives like a knob they had better stay out of my way. It isn't any better back in the states.......people still PASS you just to take a left or right hand turn only a car length or so in front of you. what the hell?! Why!? Why do people do that? It absolutely makes no sense......it makes Flan seem like a good desert, and Flan SUCKS in my opinion! The southern states are the worst for bad drivers....they are mostly hip hop wangstas that drive Escalades rollin' on 26" rims bumping the latest "Chamillionaire" tune on a box that holds 10 Orion 12's. Or even worse.....they drive one of these:
