here they are with the red top coat and the lacquer.
they dont look to bad considering i did it in the garden with spray paint. obviously they wont look as good as a professional but they are good enough for me.
all i need now is to put them on.

what do we think?

i will hopefully be pop riveting them on tomorrow, or i might just screw them for now because i might need a seal on the edge, the rivet later.
ive always like the big cooper arches but can look too big if not done well.
these are a bit smaller than that so hopefully look good, fingers crossed.
keep u updated.

look pretty good but as i said before its hard to tell due to the axle stands.
i have left the other side on to compare.
but as you can hopefully see in one of the picture. the rear tyre (with chrome arch) stick out completely.
so i think ill just change it anyway.
one problem that has arisen is the gap at the top of the arch, as they are secured at the bottom the top comes away a little bit. but i think ill need to get a bit of rubber anyway.
i also want to put some rubber along the rail in between both arches.
what do we think.
i think im gonna go with the new ones. although i do quite like no arches, but then the tyres stick out about 4 metres!
oh by the way there only held on by 2 screws so not permanent yet
standard wandard

Much better
what than the chrome.
yeh i think so to
the car needs a clean and a good ol waxing, so it should be all shiny and hopefully match the arches a bit better.

its been a while since i posted, but now i have the rubber strip and they look great!!!!
total spend so far i think is...
£11 - arches
£10 - paint
£5 - rubber strip
1 million man hours (ish)
£26 = bargain
the pictures dont really do them justice as they look much better in real life.
also the whole car needs a t -cut and polish and a quick go on the arches aswell. them they will both be as shiny as each other and a much better match

all i need to do now is work out what strip i need to run along the runner between the arches
also they arnt fully attached yet, they need some proper screwing as well.

Where did you get the rubber strip from (between arch and body)?
