so after a talk with the teacher today i think i am going to make something like a go-kart...
the one issue is size. due to lack of space in the school the projects have a limit on size.
so i have a plan. i am going to make a fully functional scale model. probably to about 1/2 or 1/3 scale, mounted on a base so that when the engine is started the wheels can spin. i think it kinda a good idea but i just need to design something totaly different to a go-kart as that is a very tried and tested design.
cheers kalum

I have a great idea for you get a hold of a bike and try to make to steering on it unique here is my idea:
Make a mechanism so if you turn left on the bike by say 30 degrees then the back wheel will turn left by 15 degrees making it turn better around sharper corners. The reason the back wheel should turn only 15 degrees to the 30 degrees is because it would be really sensitive otherwise and it would be pretty unstable in a straight line!!!! OMFG this idea rocks
or other ideas:
- Make the bike turn right when turning the headset left or vise versa. (Refer to duel headset picture with cogs below)
- Make a rear wheel steering bike
- Make something like the 2 pictures below
