cheers for that mine only has the two clock version of that . i wondered if it was the wrong one for the car but o well cheers any how :grin:

Bluebottle I can say that things have changed when it comes to the mini club, they were very welcoming to me when i joined! And the guys who go regularly to shows are very friendly.

well they just seemed odd to me at the time (mind, it was anout 12 years ago!), there was a gang of them drooling over my car up at snetterton, and they all said you have to come to meet.
so when i turned up, they just seemed very clicky, and didn't really want to know!
so i thoughok, give them another chance, and went all the way up there (its a good 40-odd mile drive for me), and again, they didn't really want to know!

when i went to their show at great cressingham (despite being told you could enter on the day, by them of the phone), they said, you're not entered, you'll have to park in the normal car park!.what the hell!....there were quite a few mini's parked there, and the show area looked half empty!


but as you say, things can change, and they may be a different bunch these days.

no its not its just 1.3i sprite but i wouldnt know if there is much difference to be honest as i have no original interior and hope to have a new lump put in her soon . what is the difference between the two is there much in it performance wise or just looks?

so when are you guys up for a little drive then? i usually have a drive about most nights i just really enjoy driving my mini compared to any other car ive had. u fancy a spin then? :grin:

If it helps, the cooper spi had about 10bhp more than the standard spi, but single point wasnt introduced on non cooper models until 1995, and then they all became mpi in 97.

I believe that the camshaft was different on the cooper models but im not sure about other differences.

Although interestingly i thing there was a cooper special edition in 1994 called the "grand prix" that had a mappable omex ECU, im not sure whether this is the same as the monte carlo special edition.
