I have work out a way of fitting them to the front. I'm gonna rivet them on as well as I think they should stay on better that way. I went out and badly took a picture of what they would look like on the front. I'll upload it now.

Also my mates had big blue sparco ones on his cooper. They did look mean but I'm going for a retro look and they don't really fit in with that.

I still think you should go for the red "rally" ones!
I have found some pictures of ones I have seen in the past:

I do like them and I thought the ones on my mates cooper looked good. But. The ones I have seem to be quite hard to find and are a little more different. Plus I think they will look good with a set of 10inch avon safety wheels. When I get another mini I may fit some of those ones. You should get some blue or black ones for the pickup.

Mudflaps on mini's do more harm then good, you have to drill into the valance closing panels and/or the inner arches, so water gets in and starts it starts rusting..

I've just fitted these off ebay. They're supposed to be for a bini but the ridge accross the middle fits just fine on proper minis and they're dead good quality.
The stickers are off ebay as well. I'd love to fit some massive rally flaps but I'm not brave enough to drill into the front yet so these will do on the back for a bit.
