Perhaps the BP6E is an older code, as the S, just means standard copper core. From the data I have at my disposal indicates they didn't make a plug without any reference to the firing end construction (the last letter)

The difference is that you should be using the BPR6ES! The R stands for resistor and this is a requirement when using electric ignition systems like Megajolt! you will probably find that when you swap them over you won't have to change them as often
Sorry to dig this old topic up.
When talking electronic ignition, you mean anything other than points?

Sorry to bring this up, but what heat range should I get on my 1330?
1330, 35X29mm valves, 643 camshaft, compression around 10.5:1
I've used brisk multispark plugs for the last 200 km without problems, but that is on running in, so I haven't given it real beans.
The heatrange of these plugs is the same as a NGK 6. But I must say they are a bit tucked away in the spark plug hole, so I guess they'll be a tad cooler? ( less flame exposure?)
Glad to hear any advice!

Could a plug break after a good run? Or melt?Give them a good run and see.
Don't mind buying new plugs, but don't want to damage the engine :>

You could if you did a long race on the wrong plugs.
I used to have warm up plugs and race plugs. Left the warm up plugs in once and they were fine for a balls out drag run.
Think they were 5s when I normally ran 8s or 9s.
Go for a blast and have a look.
