hey looks good mate, can i ask what width whellers and what arches they are? ohh n ur brake set up :D thanks
ben

hey mate, these are 5x10 weller 8 spokes with group 2 race arches from minisport.
I havent got round to the brake conversion yet and still have standard 8.4 disks on the front with an inch spacer.
I need to spacer the rear drums to even them out.

I think they look the dogs danglies!

Well some people do say nit to use the spacers but I haven't got any problems with them, they are fitte correctly with new studs and work fine.
I'm sure they wouldn't sell them if they were that bad. I need to get some spacers for the rear to even the car up to make it look perfect!
With 6 inch wellers and spacers you will need bigger arches than group 2 race. Maybe sportspacks or group 6?

yea havin the rear wheels spaced will set it of, i want to do the brake conversion for pieve of mind... but i dont have a spare £250! where did you get the spacers n new studs?

if i spaced them a inch on standerd brakes i would need bigger arches i think, but arent group 2 wides wider than race? need to do my research into the different widths from different shops. i have a set of sportspacks but ive totaly gone off them n wont fit with my car, group 6 could be an idea...will go look at that arches thread!

Hey mate i was just wondering did you use extended studs to fit yours, as i am going to be doing this and i just wanted to know how hard it was to change to the extended studs.

cheers

Looks sweet! Love wellers.

How much did you have to cut the front arches by roughly?

I'm thinking of getting some wider 10's

hi mate, the extended studs were done by my mechanic mate, the mini went into his garage to tune the carb so he chucked the spacer kit with studs on for me!
im not too mechanically minded and dont want to mess the car up, especially as i use it as a daily driver!

as for the arches, i cut about an inch off from just further front of the centre of arch to below the bumper on both sides.
i still get some rubbing , only minor, but only if i turn the car harshly!

The reason people say not to use them is that it puts alot of pressure on your ball joints and they will wear out them alot quicker.
I am planning to put some wellers on mine when the right set pops up >_<
Did you paint them yourself ?
