Hi, Is it possible to band 12"x4.5" steelies? and also has anyone got any picture of it done/ cost of having it done?

hi yes it is possible, you will need to run inner tubes tho (not advised) i have no pictures of my old ones but if you go on google there is a company that does it for you, i think it costs about £350 from memory

its where the rim is cut off a steel wheel and a straight (straight being key here) is welded inbetween the wheel face and the outer lip, its a euro kind of look just makes the wheels look std and stretched

it is widening of steel wheels by cutting them in half, and adding extra width to them

Cutting the wheel in half and then welding in a steel section ‘band’ to join the two half’s to make the wheel wider.

Yep it can be done to any size wheels, it can also exen be done to alloy wheels.

as a reply to one of the earlier posts.. you might not have to run an inner tube, if its done by a professional company the welds shouldnt be porus (spelling mistake there...) and therefor it should hold air thus not needing an innertube :D

Yeah its doable, you wont need inner tubes as said above (unless your planning to go above 7 - 8" wide, which you wont because i know you)

banding alloys is bassically making them in to split rims from what i understand
