I'm new to this site and have recently taken on a new project, 16v a-series, which I'll probably be working on for quite a while. Right now I'm looking into some carbon items that are available here in the US and came across a guy (roguese7ens.com/carbonandcars) that carries a lot of carbon parts for the Mini including this 'bulged bonnet'. Personally I really like this idea but before I purchase I would like to see what other think, being that this is a new part and evidently noone else has one.
I'm sure I'll be asking many more questions as the project developes.

I should have mentioned too that he says it comes with or without a scoop. I actually like it with the scoop but since he says that he doesn't have any better pictures right now it's a little harder to make up my mind. I really don't like the couple bulged bonnets I've seen before, like the KAD but there doesn't seem to be any other alternatives.

Sorry about the photos, they're not mine, just links to the roguese7ens.com site and I don't know that there is a way to resize them. (saved the files and edited the first posts)

The carbonweezel parts look nice but I'm looking for something with extra clearance and a nicer design than the boxy looking 16v bonnets I've seen. Being in the states I would have to say that the prices are high too. I'm looking at around $400 US including shipping in full carbon.

Thanks for the help, any other input?

The Rouge Se7ens bonnet doesn't looks bad but personally I think the Carbon Weezel is far nicer. Whatever you deside to go for make sure you get all you mechanical stuff sorted first, there's no point in having a shell with lots of shinny parts attached that doesn't drive. :)

Definitely working on the mechanicals. Got the 1380 lower end, just sorting out the head, but also started on the shell and working on the details there too.
The R7 photo is pretty bad but they have some of the best carbon stuff I've seen, take a look at the gallery at roguese7ens.com/photos .
I'm enjoying reading many post on the site, already answering many questions.
