I spent £600 on my first turbo a series engine and it was 150BHP. I used it as my daily for 2 years and only replaced the waterpump due to a 'failure' (probably due to being years old itself).
Now if thats not reliable and putting out over 100bhp I don't know what is?! Its not how much you spend, its what you know and where you spend the money.

im so pleased most people are now realising that engine conversions on minis isnt they way to go.
a well built A series is a good engine.very tough.
but as with any poorly built engine they will not last long if a monkey builds it.
