Apparently Most modern gearboxes appear to run with engine oil...... so this could blow the 20/50 reasons out of the water. I always use 10W40 just a good manufacturer.

If it is an auto then dependant on the year 20/50 for earlier models 10W40 for later models 90 onwards, is a starting point and change every 3 months or 3000 miles regardless, as any moisture in the system destroys the clutch plates within, and there are 6 clutch plates, also any petrol contaminates destroy the rubber seals ;)

my mini is running

Comma 10w 40 Semi Oil its running fine and its a 79

Comma Do Classic Oil's Such as

Comma Classic 20w 50 (Mini On)
Comma Classic 40 Oil (Minor On it)
Comma Classic 30 Oil (1930's car on it)

they are good oil's i have heard good stuff when i was working for wilco alot of people brought it and said it was good.
