Aswell as trying to repair my PCB on the back of my mini dials so the right bits work I have also purchased new illumination dials for my mini. A lot like the lockwood style ones (infact they could be) They neatly go over the old dial faces and screw in place once wired up they illuminate in either Blue or Green (I like the blue myself).

I ordered them from http://www.visual-performance.co.uk who do all other makes of vehicle too. They come in 110mph and 90mph setups. Just had to whip off the front plastic of the dial remove the black band make a little cut int he shell for the wiring and replace the ring and clear plastic. The kit comes with dials connectors, switch and dimmer knob all wired ready for you to connect to your power source. Good clear instructions too.

I ordered mine on a thursday night had them with me saturday morning!

Highly recommend these for anyone who wants to modernise their dials!

You can find them on Ebay too seller Chromemanics

The Bulbs are not needed (illumination ones) You still need the warning ones and indicators etc.

These faces are otherwise known as plasma dials. The actual dials light up.

These just attach to the faces of the dial and have their own wiring you just connect it up to the power. The instructions are super so it shouldn't be too hard!

I will try and get a photo of my ones when I head over to the garage tuesday.

Here are the dials as fitted to my Mini

Note you do have to keep the illumination bulb for the centre dial or you cant see the needles for fuel and temp!

This looks very good and not a bad price at all! I guess it is just faces you replace? so needles etc are same?

Wonder if it work with my 2 clock set up and just leave of rev counter? or ask if they can do it with out!

Yes you just remove the dial screws and place these over the faces (keep the old faces behind) and screw back on, it is all really clear in the instructions that come with the set. You can have just 2 clocks the connectors are very easy to just have a 2 dial setup. You can always keep the rev one for when you get that 3rd dial (like I did for my sprite).

Thanks something else to add to my list of bits but this is on the less important list lol need to spend on suspension and rust proofing first but these give it that modern touch!
