No, neither do I the more I look in to it. :gasp: Im gunna take more time over it and get it perfect. I really dont want to rush it. The more I think about it, the more I want to revert back to webers and nos but I want it to be reliable so thats out of the question.

the main issue is drivability, the cheapest way of turboing a 7 port is throttle bodies either bike or aftermarket, as i said my neighbour is a motec dealer and is supposed to have a good reputation so i dont doubt what he says, apparently on the elise they had more peak power by using jenvies with a butterfly on each port than they did with the standard multipoint setup and single butterfly, but they had drivability probs and when the took it to testing they were seconds down on the single butterfly setup
this would mean you would have to design and build your own plenum and injection and use either an aftermarket single throttle body of an om one, i cant imagine this would be cheap and without specialised help on the volume shape and size its going to be a bit hit and miss
BUT the nissan pulsar GTiR uses multipul throttle bodies now i dont know if the nissan engineers had some fab software or the made the car so it basically was in a mild state of tune but it works in that application

Im not the type to be arragant so Im gunna do alot of research and saving in to this before I build the turbo 7 port. Looking at it now, Id be stupid to throw it together. Im still gunna build the 7 port but run it how I originally intended with twin webers and nitrous. Only when Ive got the best ecu, a properly made and thought of plenumn and some home made throttle bodies am I going to put the turbo on to it. Thanx for the info though Wolfie. I think Im gunna have to speak to people in the know a bit like your friend who sees things like this on a day to day basis.
At the moment the 7 port turbo is still on its way but just not quite so quickly as I first thought.

If you intend to ultimately 'turbo' the 7-port, then make sure you have the chambers left suitably large - say 26cc minimum and use whatever pistons you have to in order to get the CR right for your first application.
This will make life easier in the long term.

Well I wouldnt be planning to just plonk the turbo on the side when I felt ready. It will all be stripped again and modded correctly. A turbo motor and N/A motor are to differnt animals after all.

Yeah, BUT - if you only got your head at (say) 20cc's then you've pissed on your chips when it comes to wanting a low CR later...
All i'm saying is bear this in mind - maybe get very small-dish pistons for now - and get a 'larger' chamber so it's right for later

i see wht dave is saying, its prob better to get head modified only once, if you are going to swap it onto a turbo block later will save some dosh that could be put into development
