Hi,
I have got quotes from both these companies and Retroretrims work out £80 cheaper! But i have read some things on here about retroretrims taking a long time getting the stuff out. How about quality of these companies? Which is best?
Thanks

Well, that's a very large cost difference, the £80 is roughly the embroidery cost - as you know from the cost breakdown you were sent.

So unless RR are doing the embroidery for free, I'm stumped at how they have quoted you that. The standard product costs are roughly the same (give or take £10), as anyone can see by browsing on the respective websites.

Thanks

I can't comment on Retroretrims products as I have no experience of them, but I can vouch for Optimise Automotive. I bought a set of door cards from Optimise recently and was very impressed with quality which was far superior to the original rover items. Delivery time was good, packaged well and I had good communication and updates on my order from them throughout. So I don't think you can go too far wrong with them.

is it such a good idea to ask that on here as they are both members youre gona end up upsetting one or the other depending on which you choose and some might be unwilling to give their opinion as they know it will get read by them
although generally ive heard good things about both

at the risk of upseting anyone i think it was a good idea to ask on here we should be able to get a fair set of answers from people that have used one or the other or even both. As for upseting the people the represent the 2 companys it should be a good chance to see where they are going right and wrong by reading what is written here

I got custom door cards, rooflining and a few other bits from retro retrims.

The quality is really good and even with my custom door cards. I got them within a couple of weeks.

i think its a good idea to ask because even if you company x was rubbish, they can read about it and try to improve their service.

i ordered a headlining from retro retrims and it was really good quality, i also ordered a dash liner, and it never turned up, (i was a little annoyed but it was ok because i had changed my mind about it anyway) i messaged them and asked for a refund and i had the money a couple of days later.

i would recommend retro retrims to anyone, that said, im restoring a clubman estate, and i think the job of the interior will be going to optimise. i decided when i went on the site and they now have all the estate trim, and the cherry on the cake was when i saw the estate rear carpet witch i think will look excellent. since i want it all to match i want everything done by the same company.

by the way roberts , expect a pm soon askign about this haha

I've had a bootliner from retro retrims before and it was fantastic! Really good stuff. The only thing at the moment is there seems to be a bit of a wait on products, I think due to the company being so popular and it being a one-man band as far as I know.

Good question, I am thinking about my first interior purchase and trying to make my mind up between the two companies!

I have heard that Retro Retrims can take a whille but also the quality it super, so I supose my decision will be based on wether I mind waiting. If its a one man production then I supose you have to appreciate that it can take a little longer, it seems reasonable!
