i was looking at buying an r5gtt turbo, and the part number of the later turbo i found was 465367-1/2. is this right?

oooh, I know this....

But can't say for sure!

As a visual check; the R5GT should have two studs and two clearance holes in the turbine (exhaust) housing as opposed to the more conventional four (clearance) holes...

Turbominis comes up with the goods again! I just punched the number into the search, and it's come up as deffo an R5GT unit.

that sure looks like a brand-spanking new R5GT spec T2.

As regards T25 vs T2, they use the same turbine housing interfaces. The T25 has an ever-so-slightly larger compressor housing diameter. the centre housing has a larger flange to accomodate this.
Not easy to tell from a picture. In fact, not easy to tell if you didn't know exactly where to look even if you had one in each hand.

Don't assume that bigger is better though.... Stick a T25 from a 200SX onto your 1293 mini turbo and you'll be slower to build boost than a stock T3.

bit O/T but i'm due a new turbo any time soon but i want to stick with a T3. What would you recommend as the best size to go for dave? i'm not too hot on all the numbers and AR stuff.

I seem to remember hoggy or JF are using an uprated T3? or am i confused again :lol:
