Just wondering, is it legal for a road car to have the crome tinting on rear windows? You know the stuff they have on vans, that makes windows look like mirrors?
Also what shade do you think I should go for? (white car)
Does anyone have any fitting advice, if I end up using film?
TIA

As for fitting it would be best if you could get the windows out but not essential you must make sure that the windows are spotless and grease free then spray on a mix of 20% liquid 80% water mixed covering the whole piece of glass the put your oversized film on and use a old credit card to squeeze all of the water out working from the center out and remember patience the longer it takes the better the final result. Use clear nail varnish on the edges of the front wind up windows or it will start to peel. :smartass:

very important because you dont want to nacker the film before its even in the car.
i find if you work in a H shape from the center outwards you get the best results, even on curved glass, with rear screens you have to slice the film somewhere in the middle and work each half in a H shape then you should get rid of most/all of the creases,
make sure you cut the film slightly in from the edge, and as already said, go over the edges with clear nail varnish, a few coats is usually sufficient
and PATIENCE!!!!

Thats fine

the rear window can be as dark as u like
the sides are the same
the probs start when you tint the front side windows
the front winsreen is a big no no too
Use the film its not that hard, done all my mates motors
Just use lots of soapy water and cut the film larger than the window
To make life easy why not remove the rear side windows

There shouldn't be any need to cut the film if you apply it in the right way, the best way to do it would obviosuly to take the screen out, then start from the middle holding the end of the sheet of film off the screen and work towards each end, lowering the film as you get closer to the end, you shouldn't have any problems that way. I'm a signwriter, and thats the way i would do it with my card.
