How To Fit A Sump Guard?

You gain a big puddle on the sump then it flows off the back :thumbsup:

and your way of fitting it sounds confusing

i was gonna drill all the holes up then tap them to right thread and use some 5mm spacers and good bolt (y)

good old metal pipe good for spacers but im along way off doing this atm

On my car the front of the subframe was already drilled. I just drilled some holes in the subframe near the bottom arms (to match the guard), and then poked bolts down through all the holes, put nuts on and did them up - easy. Then.... I had capsulated nuts effectively - and pushed the sumpguard on put nuts on the bolts - done. This was also needed as if the guard was bolted against the bottom of the subframe the guard hit the sump - so the extra nut made enough clearance to leave a gap between the guard and sump.
