right well optimise said they cant do it so does anyone else have any ideas? seems like the sort of thing youd imagine atleast a couple places could do but it doesnt appear to be that way.

Try a proper upholstery company. There'll be one near you, pretend it's the 80s and grab a yellow pages.

i can pretty much answer this for you because ive been looking too,

i had a word with ashley james interiors at SMD.

they said they can do it but it has to be done by hand and to have it done in leather would be around £200, not really worth it for a mini steering wheel really.

it wouldnt be so bad if it was a bently or something lol

Its been known for those people who make the leather saddles for horses to re-trim steering wheels. Cant remember their proper name though. Try and find one local to where you live and ask them.

I looked into this myself for my Momo jackie stewart and it was about £140 (the price of a new Momo Prototipo !), and the guy pretty much told me the same thing...

The "art" of steering wheel re-trimming is done by hand so expensive....

If you are sure you want it done (and have a special steering wheel that you consider worth it) then you might want to give Wood and Picket a call, since I recall they had a mini in either Minimagazine or Miniworld where they had one custom covered in Red leather.

Hope this helps !

thanks very much, yeah i think its not worth it to be honest, so far it seems all of them are atleast like 100 pounds, if it was a gold wheel maybe but itll just have to make do for now, i dont suppose it could be done in something like viynal for cheaper you recon? Thanks very much all

well teh problem is more in that the cover thats on there now has either mold or glue or something on that wont come off and the stitch is comming loose, so i figured kill two birds with one stone really, even if i was to take teh cover off to dye it i cant stitch it back.
