Hi everyone, just thought i'd post a couple of pictures of my rally inspired mini. I haven't uploaded any with the door square so here they are. More updates to come in the next couple of weeks when i get some rally jacking points, works lamp bar, works type arches, and when i put on my 4 lucas lamps (2 spot SLR700's and 2 SFT700 fogs), 5 pin plug and socket and my rubber boot hook etc.

Let me know what you think.

Evan.

Rally minis always look the dogs!
Yours is no exception!

I need to sort me on of those boot lights, they're pretty damn retro!

Looks good but the body kit is just tasteless. The zeemax kits have some kind of style, that just looks plain ugly to me. But of course thats just me. I've loved watching it progress and i think you're doing a great job. I'd love to see you style a Mini without the bodykit.

Thanks for the kind comments. I think that the bodykit does look better in person but will hopefully be removed soon when i fit the lamps and arches etc. Will post up more pics as and when i get the remainder of the parts.
Not too sure on the colour l_jonez but its near almond green and british racing green. But it does look good in the sun.

mini looks nice mate :P in my opinion it needs a rollcage aswell to give it that racey look about it :P also if you ws to get rid of that bodykit and fit group 2 archs, then i think that would make it look 100 times better ;)

I love it, all apart from that completely irrelevant bodykit, it messes with style

Yeah a roll cage is a must for that rally look, obviously i will be keeping to period accessories so a John Alley type 3 point cage will be my prefered choice as used on works rally minis with the single pole visible through the back window onto the parcel shelf bit.

what happened with the paintwork underneath the filler cap area? kind of odd to see it lifting to that degree.

Are you not scared of seeing what lies beneath that bodykit? I bet it isnt pretty from the rear quarter.

I'm not too sure whats happened under the filler cap and the n/s rear quarter. I think it had a bit of a bump but the panel isn't bent in the boot area or near the rear seats. Its been fillered quite thick and has cracked and lifted over time.
I put the bodykit on 4 years ago and did take it off around 4 months ago and the rear quarter panels etc are mint still apart from the bumper lip at the back where it was rusty when i installed the bodykit.

if your leaving the kit on then id get some protective paint under it, like hammerite or something similar to prevent rust.
