cheers for the links pikey7, seems an expensive way of getting it working :thumbsup:

I might try wrapping a wire around 2 HT leads and see if it does the trick.

It would work on a 4 cylinder four stroke running wasted spark, such as an MPI or Megajolt.

Try wrapping the sensor wire a few turns round one plug lead then a few turns round another, it ought to work in theory.Ones diagonally opposite on the dizzy cap stand the best chance.

I wrapped 5 turns around HT lead 2 & 3 and absolutly nothing happened, the gauge wont even register a signal. I also tried only wrapping it around 1 HT lead, but no joy, the gauge just didnt read anything :)(

Has anyone tried the wrapping the wire around the HT lead before? how many turns did it take to get it to work?
