this is a weird post but im curious,

does anyone else have a thing for hard to find bits?

im getting obsessed with finding parts that you cant just get off the shelf. anything rare or unsuall really catches my attention.
my rear lights a set of about 3 ive ever seen (mk3 onwards but with one peice, red reverse light lenses), mini special under dash shelf, mini special wheels and wheel nut covers to name a few,

picking up an innocenti dashboard soon and 10x6 cosmics are on there way to me from Switzerland sometime this year, while i was at smd i got 2 sets of these,

been after them for a while now, no reason, just dont see them very often, so i wanted them,

innocenti air vents, 4 for £14



my hunting list currently consists of a pair of innocenti doors and a mini special centre console


anyone else into rare parts hunting?

I think I saw those....doesnt it say pick up from hitchin or something aswell ?

I take that back......just checked and it's been taken off.

Inno doors look the nuts ! it'll make your clubbie look like an Aussie one if you put them on

im after a set for my clubby estate, i like the look of them but i only really want them because there rare lol.

id probaly go or them if they wernt in belgium, £300 aint bad for a pair

I have a set of inno quaterlites and piano hinge rear windows for my mini
I have also almost finished converting a normal bootlid to having a square recess for the plate
inno stuff rocks



you do realise the windows will fit into any mk3 onwards door dont you

i do but getting hold of the glass on its own is hard too, the guy who im buying the wheels off had some glass for sale actually, i might see hoe much he wants...

Mini special wheels arnt that rare are they. I'v seen loads. Their was about 3 lots I saw for sale at MITP plus all the ones I see on ebay. They normally only go for around £40-50 as well. I really like them when their all paint black. Looks really tidy. If I see some local at the right price I'd be temped.

I'v been after a pair of the Inno headlamp rings for ages although I'v never found any for sale. If you look in the new mini world theirs a pic of them in their on page 36. They are a bit more square and I think they just look that bit nicer. Another thing I almost bought at MITP where some of the side indicators of a Canadian mini. They had a reflector on them as part of the light unit. They were only £6 for the pair as well. I just thought I better get the things I really needed first.

mini special wheels arnt rare no, but you try finding the wheel nut covers and centre caps

Are Inno 1001 grilles rare? I'm going to need a replacement after the crash, but i couldn't see any at MITP...

orignal grill are rare but they do reproduction ones now so your safe.

only ever seen them at shows tho, not online, there £20 for the grill and surround, bargian!

that is cheap you would pay up to 250 euros for a new old stock
