I got mine for 1275. Its not a complete lemon ! It had a few simple problems, was a bit 'funny' because it hadn't been registered for an engine change (998 - 1275) which i think put people off and it has slight rust (very minimal)

bought mine for £800 about 2 years ago. had a years mot and 6 months tax. needed a new front end but had a new interior and was a lovely car for the money! Im looking for something similar now but i have noticed that even in these hard times the prices have rocketed! seen a loads in worse shape than mine for over £1000.

£1200 bought us this little jem, 1275 British open classic deseamed, full respray, electric sunroof, the works :) Only had a few niggles in the past year or so, electrical gremlins mostly. Just a lucky bargain! Just goes to show if you're patient you'll get results.

Is that "duct tape" below your off side headlight?.... and if so, is it there to conceal the rust on your front panel or is it actualy holding the wing on? :)

Hi i recently got a 1992 cooper spi for 1200 that had a MOT and Tax but i have no idea how it passed because when i got it home and my dad put it up on stands he found that the rear subframe was bearly on the car, and the drivers footwell was plated with a plate and bondsealer " no welding" . I wish i waited but have now decided to put £2000 towards getting it back up to scratch.
Ps your from Addlestone ? im from Pyrford ..... have you checked minispeed in Byfleet at there classified ads in the shop ?

Going over to look at a 1990 Mini Studio 2 tonight, needs 'A' panel repairs and a few little tart up of rust spots but only 66k miles and most MOT's from new.
Its a 998 manual totally original and its about 5 mins from my house.Wish me luck
