hi im new im not sure if i belong on this forum but got a lot of respect for the old minis especially them motorbike 1s lol. ive got a new mini cooper s running around 210bhp i thought i best sign up as my freind has put some seast for sale for me on here. thanks

Nice looking cooper s you got there! Is it a works s? Or an aftermarket tuning pack? If so what one and how are you finding it? :grin:

no its not the works its got a grs bigger intercooler, alta induction system,magnaflow cat back exhaust, forge 15% reduction pulley and a remap by protek MED some of you may be familiar with them think they do alot to do with classic minis aswell. on a weight saving mission now hopefully gunna be carbon fibering the front end over xmas :grin:

Sounds good! Not wanting to sound funny but doesn't the works s put out similar power? From what I understood it sounds like there's more mods on yours than the works pack provides onto a standard s?

Or maybe I'm just getting confused.... :nugget:

Yes.... The standard cooper s is supercharged the cooper s works has goochy bits on to give more power (from what I remember about 205-210bhp).

Obviously minwot boost's started out as a standard cooper s and he's had the mods done that he listed.

My point was that from memory it sounds like he's had more mods done than the works pack provides but with a similar power result. So I wondered if I was correct in what the works kit gives or if his power figures where different ie at wheels power instead of the at fly power of the works s figures?

i think the works has more work do internally than mine dnt quote me on this but goin on the new mini forums you can get alot more for your money if you dnt go down the works route its wheather your bothered about your warrranty or not
