I've been looking at carbon fibre doors for my 93 Mayfair, as the drivers door appears to be full of rot!
The problem being that they don't take the standard wind up windows.
So i'm wondering, has anyone fitted these and modified them to take wind up windows?
I dont really want fixed plastic windows as the inside is too hot anyways,
i'm wondering if it's possible to take mark 3 carbon doors and fix them with sliders?
anyone think this is possible, or any other suggestions?
Apologies if this isn't in the right place.

from having fibreglass doors, if the carbon ones are made the same, then you cant have winding/up and down windows as the inner and outer skins of the door are moulded together where the original door would have a gap for the window to slide up and down in. so unless you want to cut a slot in them for this then you will need polycarbonate windows with either a mk1 sliding portion, or fit one of the racing type window vents.

Mike B thanks for the link, seems bloody expensive though! £210 for the kit then £170 then add VAT?!? May as well just keep replacing the metal doors!!
Thanks though!

their was a set of carbon fibre doors in the mini mags a few months back. They allowed the fitment of original windows and mechanisms but they were not cheap
