Thanks for all the great comments everyone. The car is running drums all round, the rear drums are spacered minifins along with a 1 and a 1/4" spacer so this is why the rear meet the arches and the front don't. The front is running standard non spacered mini drums along with a 1 and a 1/4" spacer but i can't add the minifins to the front as i will risk rubbing the wings on full lock. The wheels are genuine magnesium 10x4.5" wheels from pre 1967.
Regarding the rear quarter panel, i would get it repaired but i can't get the same colour paint mixed as its a very rare colour and i don't really want it a different shade to the rest of the car.

The arches are group 2 classics from ABSMotorsport which i think look great as the curve round the front wings.

Evan.

I have got some 5 x 10 or 6 x 10 minilights if you fancy a swap as I am after some 4.5 ones?

Thanks for the offer but will stick with these as they are the genuine maglites and the rare pre 1967 type with the groove just behind the outer flange.

awesome wheels, thought they looked special.

Any good paint shop will be able to match the colour, The one near me gives you two options. A top match and a side match, evidently for that i would take the car to the paint shop and ask for a match right next to the colour, and then ask for a test pot and paint a piece of scrap following your normal body repair procedure and see if it matches, or get a colour match sheet and see how it looks.
Then you should have no problem repairing the panel.
Just remember to wet and dry a big area around the repair and laquer that then feather into the unlaquered if you are painting base and clear. IF using direct gloss the procedure is easier.

Does look really nice. I would get rid of the fog light though your age car doest need one. I also think some mud flaps would finish it off a treat.

Hello Evan :) The mini looks great! Looks so much better now you've given it the rally look, front spots look great, thats what i would of liked on mine, but settled for the Lucas 576's as i got a good deal on those.
Quick question on your minilites, did the works team cars in the sixties not use your version of minilites??, as all the images of original minis, and all the works minis i saw at Beaulieu, only used the smooth thick rim type of minilte, like what i have on my mini??

Yeah i will be removing the fog but the screw is rusted so will need to be drilled out. Mudflaps will definately finish off the look, the BMC type as used on works cars go for around £150 for the pair which is quite expensive but may find some equivalents.

Thanks Southender, Your 576's look good, by the looks of things the 700's wouldn't fit on your mini with the overiders and corner bars would they?
I have been wondering whether or not the works cars used the same minilites as mine. All i have found out is, they use the thick flange type as you have said on the 4.5's and the 10x5.5's and sometimes they incorperated the outer lip onto the flange as mine has, i guess as a protection for the wheel.
I can't say i have ever seen any minilites exactly the same as mine apart from on the mini wheel site which lists all different 10" etc wheels. I think it's called wheeldirectory.net.

Love the colour, really different but still unmistakably works inspired. Ditch the wing mirrors and the look will be complete!
