Oil/water Leak

Hi im looking at buying a 1990 1000cc mini but it has a small leak on the offside ear the front it like oil but im not sure, what do you think this could be thanks

where abouts is the oil, is it on the top of the engine, is it on the underside of the bonnet, is it around the rocker etc.... be a little more descriptive... :lol:

None of my Minis have had ears........... Not understanding the problem !!!

Offside near the front and it's leaking from the bottom sorry onto the floor.

[EDIT]Sorry. Just realised 'offside' means driver's side. Which is the opposite side of my leak.
