im having alot of trouble finding 175/50 r13s and they are really expensice so i was thinking could i put 185/55 r13s on and what as everyone else done i can get the 185 dunlops fitted and balanced for about £40

165 55 13s can be a bit cheaper, but they have more of a stretch depending on how wide your wheels are

i need them sharpish si i can fit the wheel archs but i need to know if the 185 tyre will rub inside the wheel arch ??

i can get a set of 185/55 r13s a set of 4 for 100 but ill have to get them fitted in the morning but i need to know if they will rub does any one know if they will

they probably will rub, but then a set of 175's may rub too,

you could always get a set of rack limiters from KAD for a tenner.

hmm ok i have a set of deep dish with a big offset if that makes any diffrence

i know that but 1 i need them fitted this weekend and 2 i dont have 50 or more to spend on one tyre and a set of four works out quite alot so im asking for an alternative tyre like a 165/50 r13 or a 185/55 r13 and what it will do putting a tyre on that 10mm bigger

If you enter the sizes of the tyres compared with 175/50 x 13 in this special tyre size calculator below, you will then know the difference in diameter. Then go and measure the closest point on the car, likely to rub................probably the rear radius arm pivot / outer bracket.

there was loads of room on the the rear with the 175s i cld fit my hand between it and thats wider the 5mm so i rekon they will
