im going to uni and i dont want to take my massive CRT tv because it weighs 12 tonnes and ive got no room for it.
i know you can buy tv tuners that plug into laptops/computers with an aerial and varies adaptors. it also works on pc monitors to enable them to be tv, it give you freeview plus you can plug av stuff into like ps3 or dvd player.
so my question is, has anyone ever used one of these for a laptop or monitor.
i wont to know if they are any good or do they work?
here is one on ebay

any help would be appreciated.
thanks

tvcatchup.com
FREE tv on your laptop. No downloads, no hidden costs, just sign up (FREE) just a short 20 second advert when you first start watching.
Swear by it.

Plugging an Xbox into a pc seems a convoluted way of doing things - The pc would have to redigitise the signal using it's own graphics processor. A flat panel tv/monitor would connect directly freeing up your pc, and could also provide extra screen area for computing.

it still doesnt solve the problem of the ps3 so i might just have to buy one and take my computer screen as well as others have suggested.
thanks a lot guys
