Two suggestions to your problem with rain:

1. Build a Vauxhall conversion :(

2. (slightly more serious) Take a rubber glove, cut the tips off each of the fingers (and thumb), disconnect the leads from the spark plugs and put them thought the holes in the fingers of the glove (best to do this one lead at a time so you don't muddle them up). Then put and a small elastic band round the glove to hold it in place on each lead, reconnect everything (make sure you get them the right way round) and stretch the rubber glove over the distributor. You also need to do the same with the lead from the coil which is best put through the middle finger of the glove. Also avoid trapping the vacuum pipe with the glove.

Did this to my mini and worked perfectly for about two years until tin worm got the better of it.

thank you yes every one said at castle coombe to do the rubber glove thing.. but i get all worried about pulling wires out >< will wait till my uncles around haha! does this happen to all minis or does it mean hes dieing on me =[=[

my uncle has all the bits for caspers stage 1 to be put in soon :) just need two more bits >< so excited! and and i need a electronic ignition for him wanted one at castle coombe but my uncle said there cheaper on the net, and then the new doors (as there rusty) better just to get rid of them and then im keeping him the orginal silver just a respray to tidy him and make sure no rustys ( my dad is a sprayer) yay!! and i wants purple lines on the frount and checked on the roof :P
