Hi welcome to TMF, nice mini, got another person from Wiltshire wooo!!

1. Build a Vauxhall conversion

2. (slightly more serious) Take a rubber glove, cut the tips off each of the fingers (and thumb), disconnect the leads from the spark plugs and put them thought the holes in the fingers of the glove (best to do this one lead at a time so you don't muddle them up). Then put and a small elastic band round the glove to hold it in place on each lead, reconnect everything (make sure you get them the right way round) and stretch the rubber glove over the distributor. You also need to do the same with the lead from the coil which is best put through the middle finger of the glove. Also avoid trapping the vacuum pipe with the glove.
Did this to my mini and worked perfectly for about two years until tin worm got the better of it.

thank you yes every one said at castle coombe to do the rubber glove thing.. but i get all worried about pulling wires out >< will wait till my uncles around haha! does this happen to all minis or does it mean hes dieing on me =[=[
