I drained the petrol tank of my mini around 2 years ago as part of it's restoration. I dont want to reuse this petrol in case its not any good after sitting in storage for two years. There is about 20 litres, and it has been kept in a Jerry can ever since being drained.
How can i legally get rid of this petrol? I live in Milton keynes, and don't know anywere I can take it.
Thanks
John

however, nearly every council tip has a facility for getting rid of engine oil and petrol and the like.
or.. dont waste it, use it as fuel to heat the house or the something?

I've heard this too, people starting cars after 20 years of storage with orginal petrol (and oilI heard something that fuel doesn’t ‘go off as such’ just its not as good the longer it’s left, but will still burn.

But it's bonfire night soon!! sure it will come in handy

1) filter it and mix it in with your "new" fuel, perhaps at a ratio of 10:1
2) filter it and use it as parts washing solvent
3) take it to your landfill or other hazardous waste collection center.

Fun answer- molotov cocktail, but be very careful, the first one I threw scared the heck out of me, I didn't throw it far enough which didn't help, and don't aim at anyone or your mates old brown alegro, it's not funny, well not for him.
