what differential would be the best option for bike engines in general, im looking at mounting the diff directly to the sprocket shaft of an engine so the diff will be complete and not a cut up one/modified one. so really im looking for the smallest diff available, but able to take the power.

The smallest diff I know of with an appropiate ratio for a bike is the freelander, but even that is about 15"~16" in total length meaning there is very little room for any type of bike engine. Also running it directly connected is not a good idea, you will need a coupling of some sort

thanks, i guess im going down the wrong route, i had a good look at what space i have today and there is very little room for this kind of thing.
