Got these for the mini 40

Gonna see how well they ride/ perform - to see if I want to put a set on estate ( am thinking they are more suited to 13s and extra weight)

Am changing style a little ....

First up Steering wheel change ... 14” nos from eBay - the 13 “ I had was too small and didn’t like chrome . Original wheel was 15”, so this sits nicely in between - plus it gives me a little more room to squeeze in

Much easier/ safer/ less prone to tripping and making a man shaped dent into one of minis

What’s in the box?



That’s right .... a dog




Now before you get twitchy ( as I would) ... this is a mock up to check sizing, colours, design etc

Green stripe



Reversed lotus script



Yellow pin striping





Roughly like this on ends



Held up on car





A few things need thinking through / re thinking

Green stripe needs painting to match colour/shade of side stripe
Green stripe needs to be approx 15mm shallower
Lotus script smaller to fit within green and not go so far along towards centre line
How to mount spoiler without too many fastenings
How to ‘blend’ in spoiler where it meets the wheel arches ( I do have black wheel arch trim, so could extend that line)


Overall , very pleased with mock up ... needs tweaking

You can see where I will have to think clever where it wraps around to touch arch . I want the line to flow and be part of it - like the bmw, hence the idea of using the black rubber seal.
