haha... oh sorry.... in that case i'm sure you'll fine a suitable cable, the wire on mine is no bigger than your speaker wire..... i'll have to pop down to halfords too for a fuse/holder and a bit more wire....

haha ill just get some 17 amp and alredy got a inline fuse get that done tomorrow :D

17Amp will be fine but like i said i always over estimate but thats just me lol

may seem like a daft one, but where are people mounting the cigarette lighters? i have an 80's mini with no dash, so dont have a clue!

Avoid snaplock connectors like the plague.

Do not wire it off the radio wiring as it probably isnt suitable, nor is much else on a mini loom unless you want it to go up in flames.

Take a NEW feed off either the starter or the fusebox, if its attached to a live permanently it may be a good idea to have a switch fitted for it.
The earth can go to any good, clean, rust and paint free bodywork of the car.

Heres mine
Switch is to the above left of the 12v sockets, and i adapted a plug in dual socket to be wired up directly.

each socket will require a 10amp fuse rated circuit or multiples thereof.... 2 sockets = 20A and so on. However you must ensure that the fuse is the weak link so as to avoid a thermal event.
