It'll be taped down to the loom near the dash connector plug if it's not in use at the moment.

just make sure you get the whole assembly including the mounts which are small (7/16" I think) nuts on the bulkhead behind the master cylinders.

There is one big multi plug, to swap over, and the speedo cable. Then once the new clocks are fitted, there is some simple wiring for the rev counter itself.

Try and get the clocks from a similar age car with the same size wheels 12" or 10"
so the speedo is the same.

otherwise some swapping and changing of the individual dials may be required

If you have lost these Nuts then what you actually need and they are easily purchased is 1/4" (inch) UNF. Look in your yellow pages.

Some cars already have the wires within the harness so simply look for them first.

The speedo is the same for all minis, what calibrates it is within the gearbox and is known as the speedo drive (comprises of two gears, one spur and one multi-start worm - 5 to 7 starts) and these are also what you would need to change if you changed your final drive

You can also change the calibration at the head (dial) but that needs to be adjusted by a specialist.
