IPC Media has confirmed that it has sold specialist titles MiniWorld, Ships Monthly, Park Home & Holiday Caravan, and Aeroplane to Kent-based Kelsey Publishing.
The deal sees Kelsey take control of the brands – currently published within the IPC Inspire portfolio – as of today. Kelsey also acquired the IPC title Cage & Aviary Birds last week.

There will be no interruption to the publishing schedule of the titles and staff will transfer with immediate effect.

IPC Inspire managing director Paul Williams said: "Aeroplane, MiniWorld, Ships Monthly and Park Home are all excellent examples of focused and successful specialist brands, delivering to their passionate readers every issue."

Kelsey managing director Steve Wright added: "We are very pleased to have the opportunity to purchase these magazines. They, along with Cage & Aviary Birds, are all strong brands, and will fit very well into our business."

IPC is currently finalising a deal to sell magazines World Soccer, Racecar Engineering and Classic Boat to Chelsea Magazines following weeks of negotiations.

Last week it sold monthly music magazine Guitar & Bass to Anthem Publishing and on Monday completed the sale of its internet title Web User to Dennis Publishing.

(In 2008 Kelsey purchased Land Rover World, Volkswagen + and 4x4 from IPC, they also publish Modern MINI magazine).

So its being published near my house? :D

I still wont be buying it. Gone down hill dramatically since the Mini 50 issues mid last year... not impressed. I have almost every issue ever published but about 20 but i wont be fooled into buying the rubbish that they publish today, it was a LOT better quality late 90's/early 00's

One of my neighbours works for the company that produces the cover of Miniworld's magazine. I wonder if that will change......

I think that they are two different magazines that appeal to two slightly different mini enthusiast audiences. I think Mini Mag seems to be more of hard core mini enthusiasts magazine that is more aimed at the petrol head end of the mini enthusiast market. Where as Mini World seems to be a bit more "fluffy" and more about mini ownership and the mini scene in general. I can therefore see why one magazine appeals to some, but not to others. Personally I read both as I find that one is a refreshing change from the other, if they were both the same then I probably wouldn't bother with both of them as there would be little point.

I don't buy either of them - mostly because there's far too many adverts in them for my liking! :D

plus the cost seems to be getting more and more. when you're like me and like a wide range of car mags eg: mini mag/world vw's and retro cars it's very expensive.

i tned to buy one every now and then.

I used to buy both but now I buy neither.

Too many adverts, Too many logbook special projects and too many restoration stories that complie of people who basically send their mini away to a specialist for a full restoration and then talk about it like it's all their own work!!

Mni's were a car for the masses and the magazines should not lose sight of that!!

Was it Taffy who used to get wound up by "Dog of the month" !!!
