Good day today - sold the Yaris I bought for my son (but decided not to keep due to classic car insurance being so much cheaper for 17 yr olds) for a healthy profit.

Then, on the way home from work I popped in to look at a car I'd spotted on e-bay last night as it was close to where I was working today.

30 minutes later I was the owner of this................

it's a 1970 Clubman 850cc estate, one owner and 65,000 miles from new.

Belonged to an old boy who made his mark on the car :) It's got every 1970's accessory you can think of - rows of guages for everything, oil temp, oil pressure, ammeter, rev counter, and it seems like a seperate switch for each of the spotlights

But, its solid as a rock, and he's just put it back on the road after 21 years 'resting' in his garage and fitted complete new brakes, new exhaust and a few other bits so now has 12 mths MOT and 12 mths FREE tax 8-)

That's a nice early Clubman Estate. Make sure you register it with the Clubman Estate Register.

well done fella, you beat me to it, I was talking to her and was going to view but she said she already had someone arranged to come, so I guess that must have been you.

Gutted I missed out to be honest, is just what I was looking for!

Picked up Cyril (as he's now known) earlier today and brought him home.

Couple of pics to give you an idea of the 'interesting' extras fitted
