Guess its possible. Biggest issue is that the AML handles are attached via an assembly bonded onto the outer door skin giving you clearance issues with wind up windows. Would also need some nice dressing of the edge - internal return flange around the hole on Astons.
Would look good though.

I'm sure they could be made to fit but you'd most likely need to be pretty handy at making stuff from scratch. My guess is either mount them to a cable so it pulls the latch open or a button inside or even to a electric solenoid switch that pops the door (most likely what aston has done) I don't know of any kits but wouldn't be surprised if eBay popped some up.

Aston is old school cable for door release, but then it also has massive door depth so you can get away with a lot more!

Why not look into the MX5 conversion which was popular back in the 90's

I think the Aston look is cooler, but harder to do. Just my opinion of course.

Have you ever considered going the Fiat Barchetta way ? I think it looks great and much more in line with the mini's old car appeal

Astons on old school cables as stated above, it would be possible but your looking at alot of money and proberly just as much hassle!

Nah wouldn't say I'm hung up on the brand, they just pay my wages!
It would be a cool conversion though.

I have read the whole lot, but it would infact be very easy to do.

Think about how the current locks work, push the button which pushes the latch on the inside.

So with the aston one.

Push it in a bit, then pull the lever which pushes the little bit into the latch on the inside.

Could be done with something like a bit of box section and pivot 1/4 of the way allong.
