Hello and welcome to another of my rebuild threads!!
I know I've made a few similar promises but this is one that I WILL finish!!
I've just sold Paddy with the intention of using that money to get Poo done. Having done a quick assessment of Poo, thats not gonna happen soon!!
I could have kept Paddy but really I had overspent on him and needed to free up cash to pay for Poo, also Paddy was way to good to live outside and be generally abused.
So I set out on an exhaustive search.......for a clubman estate!!
True to form, I ended up making an impulse ebay purchase of this little beauty!!
2 hrs to go, no time to ask questions so sod it lets bid!!
Anyhoo as you may have guessed I ended up with it, won it yesterday afternoon and popped over to Hereford to get it today.
Soooooo.................PICTURES!!
Not too bad, needs welding, the guy started it and then got a bit scared by what he saw and ran!!
Worlds worst steering wheel!!
Nice houndsteeth seats, very rare in this condition
Dash is ok
Front wings are a bit grotty
Subby and rest of floor is good
Really nice set of 5x12 superlites
He also came with a set of disc brake and a few new parts, most of what I need to get her done.
So plans???
First off is to get her MOT'd and useable, a full service and then take it from there.
I will be repainting the roof black and a quick tidy up and thats it for now.
A quick tart up and ticket just to make her roadworthy.
Not sure about the wheels, I'm more of a 10" guy so will have to see.
Watch this space!!

Cut the top off and stick some reindeer on the front. (Has more chance of getting on the road before Christmas that way going by the speed of the last projects)
And I thought you'd seen the light and were going to buy a clubby......
Good luck.

Chris, I spent Aggggggeeess looking for a clubby and couldn't find one(well ok I looked for 1 day!!), this little beauty just popped out at me!! How could I say no?
She's got rust and everythink!!
I'm really liking the idea of Mk1/2 her, quick coat of Tartan red(saves having to paint inside properly as well!!) with black roof, MK1 wavy grill and tashe, some over riders and a set of gp2 arches with chrome trim.
Costwise thats not too bad either..
Grille £100
Arches £50
Mk2 lights £50
Over rider £50
Paint £150
I'm not gonna get into replacing the external panels, its not worth it yet, just cut out the worst of the rust and nail some new metal in.
Mrs Shiftys taken a real shine to her so I'm gonna leave the 12" wheels on and fit the 8.4 brakes that came with it(she also wants her to be painted PINK!!)
This is all for a later date though, I'm sticking to my original plan of doing the MOT first.
