When i fit my new 1380 in the new year, i think it would be worthwhile painting the engine bay in the colour i will get my respray (once funds allow) im not sure which colour to go for. I've narrowed it down to 2 but im still open to suggestions. My shortlist is:

group 5 arches with an almond green body and white roof or

group 2 wides in black with a dark blue body (maybe tahiti) and a black roof

what do you guys and gals think?

when i respray mine it is gonna be eclipse blue and black arches so go for the green

Kind of depends on the style of the car. How's it gonna look?

I wouldn't say Almond Green suits modern looking Minis.

I think spraying it would be a waste of the current paint job.

I doubt that purple was cheap to be sprayed and giving it a respray is losing a lot of money

On the other hand it is your own car and you are entitled to do what you like. I do prefer the cadbury purple to both of them colours though!

the amaranth respray that i have on the car is a couple of years old now and a few signs of rust are creeping through on the front end. i dont plan on respraying it until late 2006.

what does eclipse blue look like?

i want my mini to have a retro look with mk1 grille, corner bars and over riders and maybe spot lights. i think both colours would work but i want to get the right combination of arches, colour of the arches and colour of the roof
