Simple to wire up Lee, Just connect one wire from the led strip to the wire off the back of the door pin switches and the other to a fused live, so when the doors open and the pin switch creates an earth the led's come on along with the interior light :thumbsup:

Thanks i get ya and just connecting to one switch side should mean comes on which ever door is open to i think!

Might be able to use these for my own interior illumination idea.
So that I can see what switches are what when its dark, some dash illumination when the headlights are turned on.

So that I can see what switches are what when its dark, some dash illumination when the headlights are turned on.


I have been looking around to find something to use for that aswell, its annoying feeling around in the dark trying to find the right switch

I have just ordered some blue and white ones and plan to do same in foot well so they come on when doors open, and cut down other strip to somehow like other replied to go around the switches as once closed door when its freezing and
dark cant nowt lol!

My dad put the hazards on the other day, trying to find the heater switch, :thumbsup:

I replace my switches with LED toggle switches, make the job much easier :thumbsup:

I have an abundance of those blue LED strips, we've been fitting out a drum show, this is going to be the Yamaha stand, there were 2 x 5m lengths of blue LED strips, and about 1.5m spare when we finished the job so I nabbed them...

I've been toying with the idea of making some sort of feature in the boot with a recessed tool kit in the boot lining floor panel etc, so I think I'll use them on that.

They're bloody bright too!

Lol I think we have all done that at some point, currently working on an idea for interior illumination for switches/console will post up when its finished
