Lets say you could live on less than £25K a year but you earn more than that.

Tip : pay more into your pension so that your earnings are below £25K.

What this does :

1) Increase in working families tax credit this year.
2) Max maintenance grant for child
3) Bursaries and Scholarships available to children from low income families at many universities.

And When you reach 55 you can have 25% of your pension pot tax free.
